What is BIOS & CMOS and how do I enter it?

BIOS is in every computer system. It stands for basic input-output system. It is the computers microprocessor used by the CPU to start the computer system on. It manages data flow between a computers operating system and attached devices like a hard drive, keyboard, mouse, or printer and determines what peripherals are available. BIOS is also where the date and time is stored.

CMOS, or complementary metal-oxide-semiconductor. This piece stores a small amount of memory on a computer motherboard that houses BIOS. It is used for consulting integrated circuit chips, including microprocessors, micro controllers, memory chips (BIOS) and other digital logic circuits.

Enter through a restart of your device and get ready as you only have a few seconds to do it. Spam the F2 button when restarting to enter your computers BIOS setup menu.
