Internet Protocol, more commonly known as IP, is an address used to connect to the internet and to identify devices so that computers and servers can communicate with each other. An IP address is assigned to your device by your internet service provider and is a requirement to use internet. When visiting a website, your internet service provider uses your IP address to make sure the website opens on the device you’re using.
Finding your IP is very easy. Simply search “What is my IP” in Google and it will provide you your IP address. It will look like a combination of numbers and letters, or just numbers, for example 203.0.113.42 or 2001:0002:14:5:1:2:bf35:2610.
